wanted to say hi and ask for some opinions!

greetings everyone,
I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself, ask for advise and thank to those who share their experiences..
I am taking a year off from school to spend some time in India (and in my home country turkey)..I had been living in San Fran for the last 2 years.. This is going to be my first trip to India (first trip by myself except some local travels).. I will probably start from Mumbai around mid-september and travel to south from there..(ooopsss, i need to hurry!)
I want to learn about the culture, visit some ashrams, take yoga and Indian dance classes in most of the places i go (I have been doing yoga for awhile and taking drop in dance classes) and I wanna spend at least one month in one ashram (or school) for yoga.. The places in my mind:
Svyasa University, Bangalore (I heard good things about this school but it is off my road)
Yoga Vidya Dham, Nasik, Maharashtra. (My first choice so far, but it seems like the admissions are closed till 2009 but I applied yesterday anyways..lets see)
Yoga Institute (Mumbai)
Sivananda Ashram, Neyyar Dam, Kerala (I know good things but it is super expensive for me)
And there is this place in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu called Tureya Ashram and Institute. I have seen their website and I am interested in their yoga psy. program but heard nothing about it from anyone..
I also want to take dance classes and Ayurveda courses (I am not looking for certificate or anything just want to learn more for myself) in Kerala.. Which are the cities and schools you like the most? i am open to any recommendations..
I know this already is a long hi but i would be glad to hear from you!
I cant wait to be on the road!!!
