hi all, my name is Leah and my boyfriend Oliver and I are traveling through India for three months in september through december. we are landing in Delhi and we want to travel around the north in the beginning and possibly to Nepal, however we really want to explore the coast as well. This is our first major travel and we are so stoked but getting nervous for the time to prepare is shortening quickly...any comments, feedback, advice would be wonderful and helpful. we will be backpacking and are open to anything...

Browsing and searching here will probably answer most of your questions, but if you don't find what you need feel free to start your own threads with your questions.

Regarding Nepal; the last thing I read here was that some people were determined to try it, but these were experienced treckers/travellers who had previously experienced being in countries at war! Keep an eye on the current situation, but hey, who needs danger on holiday! I remember a comment went something like, "apart from the sounds of gunfire and explosions at night you'd hardly know anything was wrong...". I'd rather listen to waves on the shore, birdsong or even the street dogs!

As nick told the best thing is to brows through some threds on nepal..u might find lot of threads..and start putting on new treads on the site so the right person can chk it out and provide the right info..it would be really helpfull if u put new threads..in brief..so u get the accurate responce abt it...Any ways welcome to IM..and welcome aborde..have fun..

If you are planning have good time, avoid Nepal for now. Spend a month in the North and couple of months in the South and West ( (Goa/ Konakan Coast, Some places in Maharashtra)
