summer
hello,
i'm new around here. and i have to say, it's a lot of fun reading the forum - i'm in the US, but home for me is Delhi (which, trust me, you can fall in love with inspite of all the shit - and i mean that on all levels - there is). i will be working (volunteering) at a school in leh called SECMOL this summer> i'm sure many of you have heard of it. anybody planning to head up there? also, i was wondering if anyone had information on the manali leh road? is it open? and, given the amount of snow this year, will it be opened soon? i need to get to darcha, from where i start walking to lamayuru. thank you. k |

see this link below: http://www1.timesofindia.indiatimes....how/610321.cms BRO has done a good job. With this it seems the whole road upto leh is likely to open a lot earlier. I am keeping a watch as I am also wishing to go manali-leh road this summers. Ashish |
