some info

i've been on this site for less than 24 hours and i already like it a lot.

thanks for the replies. in response to Sadhu, here is a little about what i do and why i travel to mumbai and bangalore.

i work for a software company in the U.S. we opened an office (of contractors) in mumbai about three years ago. and in the past year, have opened another in bangalore. i had the pleasure of travelling to mumbai in feb of 2003 and meeting my team in person. the experience changed my life forever. i worked with my team for over one year and it was the most enlightening thing ever. i loved them all dearly. in january, my company made a decision to have just one office in india and the mumbai office was closed. this was incredibly sad for me and really hard to say goodbye to my friends. we are staying in touch though, so that is wonderful.

i now have a new team in bangalore. just got the sixth member of the team hired. two people who worked for me in our mumbai office actually moved to bangalore to work for me again.

i will be taking a trip to bangalore in may, but maybe april after all.

i work for a supply chain software company. i am a software test manager and manage six testers here in maryland (in my local office) and six in bangalore. i'm very excited to travel over there, but of course there is always some nerves when leaving home for such a far away place.

anyway, i think i'm rambling now.

As you are coming officially I am sure all the nit pits are taken care of by your bangalore team. But then incase you need any further intellegence from the bigger silicon valley ( bangalore now officially has more software programmers than silicon valley!) just ask and the same shall be answered.

Some how I have an invincibility feel to the capabilities of indiamike. Am I using wrong english here ? anybody who corrects this, would reiterate my sense of invinicibility of this site.
