but i'm a newbie so i guess here is a good start.

i'm off to india at the end of the week, the first time by myself. i'll be around delhi for a week or so because i have family there then off to kerala. think i'll get the train but not sure yet.

i want to study kalaripayattu but the only info i have is from the net. looked at loads of sites and mailed a few people and think i'll go to trivandrum to the centre there. so i'll be looking for a place to rent and as the classes will be morning and evening i'll have my days free after i've settled in and done local sightseeing.

i do have a pio card, so could try and get some paid work but i'm not sure how likely that will be, and think some volunteering might be more worthwhile/interesting.

any comments or advice on my plan would be very welcome.
