hi there, i have been itching to get away for a few months for ages! I have, mid life (I am in early 40's) had a complete overhall to my career over the last 3 years, have been studying hard and chasing freelance work. It has been hard work but worth it - and has freed me up to travel more (which has always been a big ambition of mine). Saving loads of money is at the the moment difficult and I'm not that patient! but have lots of skills - face/body art/ temporary tatoos etc.. whereby I could earn a small living while taking trips to different areas of India. Someone suggested Goa. Anyone offer any advice??

Welcome to indiamike, Goa? Why Goa, since you said you can do face / body art why not get into the makeup business for film industry, India produces the largest number of movies in the world (most of them are of low quality and for purely entertainment) checkout Bollywood, Mumbai, koliwood (Chennai) or Telliwood (Hyderabad).
