new to indiamike

Hi All

We are now planning our return to India. This we are going to the South for 3 weeks (all the time work will allow). This time we hope to see Mumbai, Hampi, Mysore, Cochin and a few days on a beach in Goa before heading back to Mumbai.

Our previous trip was in 1997 when we spent 4 weeks travelling in the North (Delhi, Jodphur, Jaisalmeer, Udaipur, Jaipur, Agra, Varanassi, Amritsar). With the possible exception of Syria we have not been to a country that is so captivating yet frustrating, overwhelming but rewarding.

Over the next few months we will be posting asking for tips on hotels, what to see, what to avoid.

November can't come soon enough......

Welcome Mr Pastry
Don't try and pack too much into your three weeks cos that's a sure fire way to get stressed!
Looking forward to hearing how you get on

Hi Mr. Pastry! It's good to have you here, ask away with any questions that you may have about India. The knowledge pool on indiamike.com is almost scary.

Indiamike plus lonely planet and a few rupees in your pocket - As long as you have all the three, you need nothing more to worry about. Rest assured that you are going to have a great 3 weeks in India.

Suggestion to pastry - You should head for Cochin straigth from Mumbai, finish Kerala, then go to Mysore, Hampi and cool down in Goa before heading home through Mumbai. This will ensure that you dont spent too much time travelling.

Ask more for specifications for you have a lot of time to go.

you'll be pleasantly surprised at how mellow the S is compared to the N, Pastry. If, that is, the gods are in a good mood
