Haha, not sure about loving the weather.. am sweltering in this humidity (although I know this is much cooler than it was a few months ago!) I've been to Delhi many times before, having a lot of family here, but it's so different when you're actually trying to settle into a life here rather than a week or two spent rushing around catching up with family / attending weddings etc. Anyway, checked out the meet up thread - thanks for the link.. hopefully I'll be able to make it, good to see IMers in Delhi seem pretty social! ![]()

Hello Fruitcake, Welcome to Indiamike. The weather was nice for two weeks before it has become humid again but by mid october it will be fine. There are lot of places to socialise in south Delhi. You can check out Cafe Morrison in South Ex mkt, Stone in Def Colony mkt and also GK1 and GK2 mkts. Have a good day, Harsha

oops, forgot to check back on this thread i started! thanks for all the replies, and the social life suggestions. have checked out cafe morrison, now just need to find time to make my way to the other places. dan - where you should stay / go really depends on your situation and what you're into! are you spending the entire 5 months in delhi? might be easier to have a chat if you send me a PM - although you'll need to rack up 10 posts before you can send/receive messages ![]()
