Question New Member-seeking tips on Tirthan Valley

Hi,
I am taking a driving holiday to Himachal from Delhi from Nov 2nd till 11th 2006.We are a group of 4 adults. Our routing is Delhi-Barog-Fagu-Chindi-Manali.
After Manali,on our way back we want to go to the Tirthan Valley area... Himalayan Trout House, arround 9th or 10th Nov.Question...
1)Is that area worth a visit from the scenic and angling point of view, considering the time of the year.
2)Has anyone stayed there recently?
3)Is there any other place to stay in that area?
4)What is the expected weather conditions?

Unfortunately,I have done a bit of a zig zag routing and have also pre paid to HPTDC.ie.Barog 2/11,Fagu 3/11,Chindi 4/11 and from 5th at Manali(have not made any bookings as yet).I just read an old posting by Dhanajoy & he writes that the drive to Gushain,Batahad etc are superb. Can you suggest a routing for our return journey, starting from 8th or 9th Nov.We have to be back in Delhi by 11th evening.
