Namaste to all from Rich Anpoor
Hello all, boy am I glad to find this forum. I was last in India Nov 05 til Jan 06 and missing it like billy-o. Hopefully should be back for another trip in December for a month or three but meanwhile I can visit IndiaMike and imagine I am back there.
This will be 6th time to India and I'm planning on Himachal (first time was last visit - amazing) and most likely Benares (again) (everytime!) I live in Birmingham UK (when not in India) am single, likes to smoke, read and blow my own mind with things that challenge my outlook (that's why I love India so much, I guess) I will post some of my tales another time and hope to chat to you all soon. BTW I also go by the name of Anand when in India. Say Hi if u know me. |

thnxs yogagal, yup zappa was genius (and also a gandharva, celestial musician, born on this earth to bring us music from heavens) zappa is also a bit like shiva too, a family man, outcast from normal society, associated with dance & drama. I guess thats why I love them both. ![]() |

just booked a flight from London to Delhi on 1st Jan, returning in March.
I can't wait to get back to India. The next 3 weeks are going to be excrutiatingly slow I think. Thank goodness for IM, it will not seem like 3 years at least. Happy, but impatient Rich xx

Hey Sanjay,
I will probably head straight to ISBT and get on the bus for Himachal as I plan a detox in Manikaran, Parbati Valley. Then I will probably wander across to Uttaranchal. No solid plans as yet. I will spend probably the last week in Delhi/Haryana to do some shopping and sightseeing. If you are free at the time, it'd would be nice to meet with a fellow IM'er. My flight back to UK is 28 Feb and I aim to be spending time in Delhi before then. Rich/Anand Baba |

That should be a real test of your willpower Rich! Have you visited Parvati before at this time? if so what's the temps gonna be like? I'll be in Mcleod at this time, if you fancy a quick detour, i might even be tempted to take a quick visit to Mani/Kashol.I managed to get to see Zappa once at the NEC BLEW me away! as expected! Have you seen the "Does Humor Belong in Music" video of his? If not find a copy quick! Ive seen the babysnakes one, with the plasticine stuff, great version of "City of Tinylights" Shanti KK |

I went to manikaran last year, but only til Dec. It was cold at night but the sun was ok during the day. I expect it to be much colder but I hope the hot springs to make up for it. as for the detox, well, I plan on cutting down or stopping tobacco and eating good food ,getting exercise, but I will still use a certain medicinal herb, altho' perhaps a little more sparingly than I have in the past. be good to meet up if your in the vicinity kk, I haven't done much travel in the himalaya so I'm also willing to check out places you recommend and could very likely be in McLeod too at some point. hope to see you there. rich |
