[my intro]-Hi all !

I m a new joinee in IndiaMike.

Real name: Prathap, living in Chennai.

I like motorcycling touring a lot, coupled with photography and travel articles. I have done quite a lot of touring in the Nilgiris and the mountains in South India.

I m a South Indian and cant speak Hindi ! Anyway, i m planning to take a crash course in hindi to help me in all my North India touring needs.

My wish is to tour the beautiful region of North-East India on my bike. Further, I dont ahve many friends who share my interest of touring NE-India. I have seen photographs of NE India and I m very curious about their natural life and culture.

Can anyone of you tell me the finer aspects of touring NE-India on a motorcycle ? Like the availability of petrol pumps and mechanics along the regions, Hotel/restaurants, mobile phone connectivity, safety, etc.
