Mumbai Calling

hello all,

Joined IM a couple of days back, i am from mumbai/bombay, and am here to provide info/help to travellers and ofcourse to learn more abt india from outsiders perspective.

also i stay in a rented place, actually a 200 year old cottage in Bandra west and if any traveller needs to use it for a short period of time/ transit, feel free to mail me. its ofcourse not luxuriuos but pretty comfortable.

till last year i was staying with my parents a little away from hill road, now i have shifted to new kantwadi, close to carter road and otters club.

Will PM you when I am back in Mumbai and Bandra in the next few weeks.

Shimla Bandra has indeed changed. I recall hanging out and shopping at Linking Road with friends back in the early 80's. There even was a Saks 5th Ave there at the time

I also remember the Sea Rock Hotel and the Cavern Disco. Those were the days

I had a few friends who studied there and graduated in the mid 80's.
I always hung around with my buddies near St Andrews Church. I particularly loved the Irani Restaurant on Hill Rd roughly 500 metres from St Andrews Church. Used to go there for omlette pau after a evening with my dear friend Old Monk...

Welcome to IndiaMike. I have a friend staying opposite Tava Restaurant ..... whenever i phone him to say that i'm going to drop in, he says he is out of town. And i end up going past Bandra.

Am located in South Mumbai. Born & brought up here...
