Hello all,

I'm new to this forum. I have lived in Delhi all my life and am sick of the fast pace of life, heat and pollution here and want to move to a quieter, prettier and cooler place. My parents live in Delhi, so I don't want to be too far away from them. Hence Kasauli is seeming to be a very good option. I'll be very grateful if the Himachal experts could answer a few questions for me.
  1. Is it easy to get rented accommodation there? How much would the rent of a 2BHK be?
  2. Is there good connectivity? I work from home, so it's important that I have a good broadband connection.
  3. What's the water and electricity situation like?
  4. Are there good health facilities there? Where is the nearest hospital? Are there good homeopaths around?
  5. Is it safe for women? If I travel, can my wife stay behind without any concern?

Any help with these questions will be much appreciated.

Thanks for the bump, theyyam dancer. Looks like no one wants to help a poor guy out. Wonder where else I can go online to get these questions answered...

Hi, did you get your queries sorted?

There was a TV anchor - Udayan Mukherjee - who left it all and settled in the hills- owning an managing resorts.

It's a tempting idea ,but needs a lot of adjustments- he wrote on this as well

I am in no way helping you out, I also does not want to come across as rude, but just wanted to let you know as much as I have read(extensively) and discussed(with highly qualified persons) Homeopathy "does not work".

Moving to Kasauli

Homeopathy is just one of many therapies. Next to the metaphysical/spiritual kind, it may be the most controversial, as, physically, it is treating a person with nothing . It has also suffered a recent blow to its reputation with product manufacturers adding, not a diluted-to-nothing content, but a sadly effective quantity of a poison.

Having said all that, I'm not even going to enter a conversation with my personal views, because it is just one word in the original post. A tiny part of the picture.

Never mind what therapy the OP chooses for their health. The key point is the switch from bustling city life to rural, hill, even mountain life. That's quite a life change.

We have members that know the hills well... Hoping that someone can help.

Notwithstanding being a rural child, I have been a city dweller for 45 years. Rural idyll, at any altitude, might still be a thing in my dreams, but, as a practicality... Not so much.
