Hi, i am new to this site. I will be traveling in India from 12/7 thru 1/12 starting off in Delhi and traveling south. Just trying to get some ideas. I will be traveling alone. I am thinking of 12 days in the north then heading to the south for the remander of the trip. The only firm plans I have are 1/2 - 1/9 in Goa

Welcome to India and Indiamike. You will get all the ideas you want on India here on Indiamike. What do you expect to see in India, your choice of destinations here would depend on that. India has something to offer to everybody...

I am new to this site. I will be a 1st time traveler arriving in Delhi on 12/7. I am thinking about flying to Varnassi for a couple days then taking the train to Agra. From Agra I would like to hire a car and driver to take me around Rajashtan for another 8 days or so. After that I am planning on touring South India for the rest of my stay. I do have a hotel in Goa on 1/02/2010 for 7 days. Other then the stay in Goa my trip is pretty open.

I guess my first need is to how to find a driver for Rajashtan and possible one to take me around the south also.
