Hi I´ve just joined!

I´m looking for penpals on the subject of India - everything Indian!
I´m on slow dial up so emailing is a lot easier for me.

Exactly cyber, sounds suspicious too, nor is the question travel related. You might want to save the board some troubles.

It´s the first time I´ve been anywhere on the net and had my request for penpals referred to as suspicious - WOT - for asking for penpals!!!???!!!

I´m planning to go to India, I´m very excited about it and want to find out all about it before I go.. I also have very slow dial up, so web browsing is difficult. Whereas email is GREAT! I´m very sociable and friendly and like connecting with similar people very much, who are also interested in, and who know about, India..

@crystalwaters: welcome on Indiamike! Don't be offended with the last few replies, there are some people on the board who are hypersensitive about publishing personal data like email addresses.
I'm sure you'll find here some friendly penpals.

I'm not senstive about this, just informing him/her that all the e-mails he/she gets might not be nice ones, to mention nothing of spam, nice and friendly like but the poster seems to know what they're doing, so no problem from my side!!

Try reading through the posts in this forum, and if you find interesting people send them a private message proposing a penpal freindship..

But as anywhere, beware on opposite sex proposals

technical correction:

I have yet to see an instance of a male being e-mail-propositioned by females.

No you can PM someone using the private PM system, if the receiver doesn't want to talk to you they ned not do so or he/she can put you on the ingnore list blocking any further Pms.
The only unsolicited PMs we are concerned about are stalkers, or spam from travel agents and the like, which we like to hear about, so we can remove the offenders from the forum!

It's not allowed to publish PMs on the public forum without prior permission of the correspondant!!

So PM away!!
