In the Hangover/got the fever

Hi, thought after 18 months of lurking on and off it was time to introduce myself, now that I finally might be able to be helpful in some ways

I just got back from my first trip to India a week ago and am already planning the next two. So far have seen Goa, Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi and Agra. Planning to go back...everywhere...well, Kerala and Mumbai in the first instance, and then Rajasthan and Mumbai in March 2011 for Holi (I was there for Diwali and just loved it, think Holi in Rajasthan with kids would be a looot of fun!)...and yes, Mumbai is always going to be an essential for me - just loved it there so much and miss it!

Now that is it for now...hope it made sense...as um am still sick from trip so a little weak...but being in the India hangover I don't want to get out of I can't stop watching shows on India, searching maps and google earth, reading forums, doing hotel reviews (which I will transfer here if this works) etc...

Um, so hi

Forgot to add...am in Australia...female...approachi ng 40...was half travelling in company, half solo but with a lot of people to see this time...and will be travelling the same way and with kids in the future...

I think this is one of the most interesting sites I have ever found on anything, and used it to check hotels, get general tips and of course some on places to see (and on shopping ). Some fabulous people on here (and have a few favourites for sure)...and very impressed at how much knowledge there is...looking forward to coming a little closer to that level

Wombat, welcome.

Eighteen months! Tremendous display of self control, not joining earlier.

Thank you troooon and capt_mahajan (and just quietly, you are one of my two favourite members for over a year now capt)

And yes, lots to share...was very excited when someone made a post today asking about a hotel I had stayed at...desperate to be useful...and of course to relive it all lol

By the way, do you know how I can get to post in the 'chai and chat'...I am so keen to add in some of the warnings my friend and I received (her mom thought she would be abducted for the sex trade...)

Wombat, thank you. I am flattered.

But, rhetorically, who the #$%^ is the other one?

Oh cool, thank you Hal

And thank you Kingstonian - I will now for sure! Like your lurking tagline too...naturally

And Capt-Mahajan, the other is Nick-H (there are a few others but you two have been my super favourites)...naturally because you replied you are now in the lead I am a fickle Gemini though so you will have to work hard to maintain the competitive advantage

Ah Kingstonian, exactly my evil aim...well of course it was twofold...to extract even more posts from this apparently superhuman pair for my own entertainment...and to cause rivalry to satisfy the entertainment needs of my evil side

From some Woody Allen movie

Other guy: 'Shall we say 'pistols* at dawn'? '
Woody Allen: 'We can say it. I don't know what it means, but we can say it.'

I might murder you with a morsing, but my mridangam wouldn't mither anybody --- except musically! .

(Flattered too. Welcome, Wombat )
