here's a photo i got on my puter - from end of 2002 - i don't look too much like it though - the photographer made me look like a teen - i suspect airbrushing *wink*

i do have a passport photo but i can't get at it at the moment plus it's from at least six years ago when i had short hair and was way way skinnier and plus i was having a seriously bad hair day when the passport photo was taken...

i never look like my photos because i always tear up the ones i can't stand this means people always get a big shock when they meet me in person and i sometimes get held up for a while at passport control while the passport officer looks from my passport to me and then back again...and repeat...this has happened at least twice...this kind of stunned look...like is this really her...she looked so nice in her photo...what happened!

Talking One more for the gallery of mis-fits

I just love this thread and I just can’t let it take a dive from the ‘Last 50’ page as it’s done in the last couple of day cos it’s one of my fav’s!!

And since I’m now the possessor of a shiny new passport and I’m feeling in a bold, carefree, liberating sort of mood, I thought I’d make a contribution with the photo I now have to live with for the next 10 years. ....... Why do I feel like I going naked on a beach for the first time or something?? ........

There’s no way I would have done this a few years ago, back in my vain days, but now I think I’m old enough and ugly enough (obviously!) not to worry about such things!! And as you can see, for me there’s no such thing as a bad hair day!

Plus, I just wanted to thank everyone for all the times I’ve had to massage my face back into it’s proper shape after the smiling-cramps incurred when reading some of the things you guys post! Thank you thank you, you’re a real blast! And it just feels great to see some of you. Which leads me to something else –

May I just repeat an earlier request – WHERE is the photo of our Great Leader???

Last excuse was back in June about passport/accident with bottle of red wine ... ... yeah, yeah, bla-bla. Come on Mike, show us the real skinny

...... And none of these b/w moody, put me on TV sort of shots ........ we want the real, glarey, starey, mug shot, bleached out colour that only a passport photo can provide. And no touching up the huge wart that's rumoured to sit on the end of your nose!!!! Come on ........ let it all hang out!

Way to go, dharmasoul! I wanted to post my truly awful passport photo today here but there was something wrong with the batch of floppy disks I was trying to use to copy the photo too (I think the floppy disks were the prob but not sure...).

Never mind does he look like someone out of Eastenders - will you marry my daughter???? please
I don't know how I have missed this thread as I spend ages on here each week-end (my cheap internet time here in Spain) but will find a photo and put it on here soon - not a pretty sight but maybe I could cheat. When we go to Goa in a few weeks I will have an image of all our fellow winter stayers and will be looking round the markets trying to recognise you all.
Maybe we could put a recent one on!!!

funny i never saw this thread before either-i like it!

i have spent an hour playing with my photos and i dont have time to learn how to use these fancy programs. i have a scanner but when i get a picture it is automatically a part of the scanner program which has so many bells and whistles i cant do a thing with it other than store it on my pc.

so after all this studying, i managed to pull the photo out of the passport page, and stick it onto a word document. but i cant get just the picture off the word document either! besides that, i dont even see any button marked for adding attachments on this page where i am posting.

i am not totally stupid, i downloaded a program from the web and copied my cassette tapes onto cd's, and no one i asked knew how to do that!

maybe some day after i get to india and have more time to play i will be able to enter a photo in some other place like what is outside my window...now im going to bed!

If you click on the button marked "edit" just below your message, you'll see down at the bottom a place where you can attach your photo. Size counts on this one.

This is the photo in my current passport, it was taken in October 1996 and my passport doesn't run out till 2006...It looks like I didn't comb my hair that day, plus the passport people got ink on my chin when they pasted the photo. I don't look anything like my passport photo, as I have a chubbier face and long hair nowadays.

I found my previous passport again this week (my flat, though small, is like an archaeological site at the moment. I keep finding stuff I had forgotten I had). It's dated ten years before my current one was issued, Nov 86. You can see part of the cancellation stamp over my mouth. I had two other passports (as I got my first one, all to myself, at the age of 7 and then another one when I was a teen) but unfortunately I've lost them.

up in smoke

I just heard that Tommy Chong might be going to jail...
I'll have to look into it; the radio report was sketchy. Anybody have any details?

Unfortunately, I think that's true. My favorite part of his hearing/trial was that supporters came out to the steps of the courthouse one day adn just sat around. Anytime the media asked them for a comment or why they were there, they just said "Dave's not here, man."

hahahaha

peace,
