Sorry no scanner...
but when I got my passport, (in 1995) I just graduated and had nice thick black moustaches (blame it on all the stress of studies for not getting time to shave)
And from last few years I don't have any. Almost 90% of the time, immigration officials at most of the airports, have hard look at me and sometimes even use magnifying glass. but thank god, never got detained.
I just use my smile and ask, "I had a good moustache..isn't it" except in china where I could just smile.

Talking Oh Alright then

Yeah Here's a 20 year old pic, just 19 I think and I knew it all. It takes reaching the age of 38 to realise you know bugger-all!
And Midnite I knew you were a old hippie. So when are you going to seize the reins of the established order? whatever that adds up to these days. Speak to you soon!!

70's pix are sooo embarassing

but, ok maree -- after a week of playing with scanner and photo software, i'm starting to get the hang of it. this one is down to 48k, see if it works.

yes Ivan, cudda been a 'B movie' extra, for sure -- meant to check out Bollywood while passing through Mumbai in '69, but Goa beckoned...

ok, have your laugh, people

edit: way too big, too scary -- try again at 8k

(edit: pix removed)

Midnite Toker: A guitar is missing in your picture! :-)

The new passport size photo's have a slightly side view of you instead of full frontal, showing both your ears. Is it to help the profile drawers during an investigation?

mountaingirl: a picture is missing in your post! Now I know you have a passport from what you spoke about on the "visas for Indians" thread. So far, only one woman, jjacquemain, has posted a passport photo (the point of this thread, not gawking) and not a single Indian - man or woman - has posted a photo.

Hmmm. Am I going to have to knock on your doors individually?

I will do so when (1) I find my 1971 passport and (2) when I get to a friend's scanner.

Hey guys, we (Indians) don't NEED to put up our pictures....haven't you read any of the matrimonial columns in our national daily newspapers?

All the guys are: TALL, DARK, HANDSOME, and hopefully Phoren (foreign) -settled!!

All girls are Tall, fair, beautiful, educated, HOMELY girl who loves cooking!!!

M/T: Thanx for suggesting that I put my pic here but I have the following reasons:

1. I have already had my fill of people trying to use these sites as a dating service! (hasn't started here yet: Thank GOD!) Not that I am goodlooking or anything.

2. Most people here think that an Indian woman who has time to spend on the net is probably a frustrated one looking for some company etc etc...

3. A lot of people are after my blood! so I better NOT disclose who I really am except the people I choose to meet in Delhi!

I will mail you one if you want! but don't blame me!...I am warning you!

in Goa, the girls should also be convent-educated and have a 'wheatish complexion' as well

Don't forget MEEK!! M2 & Mountain girl, thats the one that really cracks me up. The proposed bride should be educated, be able to cook like his mum, be drop dead gorgeous and know when to shut up!!
Dear oh dear, I wonder how many of these criteria are realised!!

Talking

Steve you have a likeness to Mrs rab's father ... you didn't used to be a boilermaker at BHP, Whyalla, South Australia in about 1976 did you?

Now I am not that sure there is a likeness to you Steve but anyway here is only the second lady-pic in this section as you lasses are all chicken! Anyway this might be a bit cruel ... very cruel in fact, but here is the original Penfold herself - Mrs rab. You can call her Angela if you like, she gets upset at Penfold!

By the way she is a bit smug at having both an Australian and a UK passport; she grew the fringe in the UK for forehead warmth!
