Got my first passport pic yesterday. I have to say, I did my hair, put makeup on and it looks terrible. LOL Here goes nothing.... Wish they had photoshop for passports. They made my head look HUGE. HAHAHAHA! I am excited though and got all of the paperwork in!

Poisanna,

At least you were allowed to smile! In Australia, we have to pose with deadpan expressions... :-)

Smile

Great idea for a thread!

Sorry, I'm afraid my old, embarrassing passports are in storage in the UK. One day! Meantime, here's my current one - bit too normal-looking for my liking!

...there's such a lot of world to see.

really enjoyed this thread...made me smile throughout! i dont have a scanner here and anyway i just look scary weird. i mean its better than the last one 10 years ago where the lighting wasnt quite right, it turned out that one eye looked so much lower than the other. this time...well i should not have gone for a side part. it would be easier if you could at least smile for your passport in aust...btw poisanna, you look lovely, i would be satisfied with a pic like yours.

The oh so aryan looking Scandinavian

If it isn't immediately apparent from my gorgeous blond hair or blue eyes that I'm Norwegian, don't beat yourself up As a Norwegian of Indian origin, I've always been on the outside looking in. Growing up in the 80s and 90s in the Norwegian 'metropolis' Oslo, I was pretty close to walking around with a post-it stuck to my forehead on the first day of school every year saying 'yes I know I'm brown, no it isn't just a tan and no I'm not related to princess Jasmine'
After moving to India, to discover my roots, I have now grown accustomed to hearing 'ah faarener a?' (oh so yr a foreigner).
Oh well... i'm now older and wiser and am finally happy to be a desi viking
Don't have a scanner at the moment but am still gonna share the tortured pictures of a NBCD (Norwegian Born Confused Desi).

Cheers

@Noddie: Thanks for sharing. The one with the Black hair looks so much better from an Indians POV of course.
