If you look like your passport photo...

Quote:

This isn't a new passport photo, and I definitely needed the journey back then. I was nearly refused entry to Singapore with it until the immigration officer saw I'd chopped the flowing locks off. At Calcutta airport, however, they waved me through with characteristic unconcern.

Now, who else will risk opening themselves to humiliation and post a passport photo?

The three ages of man

Ok, I'll bite.
Three passport photos, worn and badly scanned, sorry:
Looking nerdy at 9, my first passport.
In my 30s (1981), after shaving my beard and cutting my hair for travel in Eastern Europe.
Current, looking hot in my 50s...

This was taken after a 12 hour shift.......I should have done something with my hair, huh?

I've looked the same since I was 14......I hated it for years but now that I'm 30-something.....it's rather nice!

Who else dares to show your passport photo??

I'd love to show some of mine, but alas, no scanner!

Well, don't have my passport here at work so can't post a photo. I remember ten years ago trying to get a decent photo to send to the passport office. The first try was horrible and I wasn't going to have that on record for ten years.... so I tried again...even worse. Third time lucky but I'd spent NZ$30 at that stage. So, 10 years on and I don't look too different now but my passport itself looks seriously dodgy after I accidentally sent it to a laundry in Ecuador a couple of years ago - lots of indistinct visa stamps and I've had to glue down the photo page a few times so that it doesn't look like I've changed the photo. I'll be sad to stop using it though as it's full of good memories...but it runs out this December and there's only one or two pages left anyway. Comparing passport photos is always good for a laugh on boring bus trips.

attaching photos for dummies

I scanned a few pix, but don't know what to do with them as it appears from reading the vB Code help, they have to be on the web somewhere and linked and I don't have an on-line albumn to use. am I missing something?

-m2- look down below the message box where you write the text, that one that says Attach file: You just click "Choose" and browse to the photo on your computer.

Tomi I saw you in that film where the two blokes drive a van back from Mexico and the van was stuffed with weed and it caught fire outside the rock-fight and everyone in there got stoned. They ended up on stage and won the competition. Remember it?

You don't wear the head band round your head anyone more?

I am one of your biggest fans by the way!

ah, ok -- I was looking at the quick reply box. Will give it a try:

here's one from a passport renewal in Delhi, 1969 -- see if it's under 50k, my more, er, hirsute one from '74 was too big.

Is that a fur-lined vest you are wearing, -m2-? You know they're back in fashion?!

genuine Afghani embroidered sheep-skin -- around $3 and smelly when wet. Guess i should have held on to it; mostly settle for ersatz fleece for my vests these days .

Rab, thanks for the compliment, but I wish you hadn't resurrected the old ghost. I've been trying to forget that movie for years, even burned the head band. I still get fan letters and proposals, mostly from burned out old losers. I play gin rummy with Dennis Hopper every Wednesday and he rubs in how much better he has survived.
I think I might know you...hmm...where's your passport picture?
