I am amle 59 interested to thalaikaveri situated in north karnataka and to visit near by places in October 2010.
A travel plan required from Bangalore or Mangalore.

October is a good time to travel to Kodagu once the monsoon has withdrawn. You can drive Bangalore -> Mysore -> Madikeri in 6 hrs if you leave early in the morning. Plan a stay at Madikeri for two nights - there are a number of homestays there. Tala Kaveri is about 40 kms drive from Madikeri. You can visit Tala Kaveri the day after reaching Madikeri. If you have specific questions, feel free to ask.
