well, not exactly true... there is an airport at Jabarhatti (22 km from Shimla) having regular flights to Delhi.if you have serious cash to burn, oberoi offers chartered flights from delhi to shimla and/or shimla to delhi - it was offered (not for free!) to my friend who stayed at oberoi wildflower hall (expensive but worth every penny).
btw, for honeymoon, i would definitely recommend this hotel as it is really exclusive - far away from the main city area, with stunning views, heated swimming pools, outdoor jacuzzi, walking trails & they also arrange activities (horse riding or white water rafting) & picnics for couples. another plus is that no kids are allowed in the hotel (as it is positioned for honeymooners only), so you can expect noise level to be utmost minimal...
just to add, agra has an airport, but there are no scheduled commercial flights. however, if you use a chartered service, they should be able to make arrangements for a delhi-agra trip with landing and takeoff from that airport. it all depends on how much you are willing to spend for traveling by air...
agra is close enough to delhi that you can cover it by road/rail. shatabdi in EC taking 2 hrs is a decent option. else you can travel in style in the olivea luxury bus that has started covering delhi to agra (but i wonder why it takes 4.5 hrs!!!).
btw, to add to your 'romantic' shimla options, you might want to charter the shivalik palace coach from kalka to shimla which is hooked on the regular toy train.
