Hi, new here, UK expat living in Chennai

Hi everyone,

A belated hi - as I've been a UK expat living and working in Chennai for the last 4 years, so there isn't much I haven't experienced as an expat.

I only came across the site by accident this morning, I have to go and register again at the FRRO because of a new visa and as I hate the place, was looking for to see if the requirements for documents had changed again before I go. The FRRO and I have a love/hate relationship - they love to annoy me, I love to hate them.

I work in IT, live out on the beach in Thiravanmuyar - drink more than I should

, eat out way too much, play golf, poker, football and generally socialise with too many other expats who have been here far longer than they should have been as well.

Its probably great that we seem to have few interests in common --- because that means you know about heaps of stuff on which I have absolutely no idea
