Hi (from Thailand) & return to India [Mid April]

Hi all ~

I'm new to board here. I'm currently in Thailand, headed 'home' for about 6 wks and then back and off to India.

I'm interested in spending much time in Himachal Prasesh. My visit before was non mountain areas although I did the KKH (Paki)and Nepal the same trip.

The trip is all go. Only issue is getting my ticket out of bkk to del. I hope to find some good info on this board.

If we know when exactly will you land in India, how much time are you willing to devote to Himachal and what are your principal interests, we may be able to suggest

truth to tell i am not certain. i want to see kulu valley and villages, dharamsala and maybe head up to leh?? i think i will apply for 10 year visa. i dont honestly know how many times ill be back, but makes good economic sense. its been about 5 years since last visit.

if you check this link i would be interested to know how to avoid or minimize travelling in monsoon?

Yes, I'm currently based at Yangon.

Regarding Himachal, you can spend June in Chamba, Dalhousie, Dharamsala, Mandi, Kullu, Manikaran, Katrain, Naggar and Manali.

Towards end of June you can head for Leh from Manali.
