Hi all from Australia

Hi everybody, after reading this forum for months and getting a LOT of questions answered, i have decided to join up and ask some more questions.

I am planning on going to India for 4-5 weeks from the end of december. Studying architecture and living in Australia at the moment and am originally from Sri Lanka.

At the moment am thinking of traveling alone but hopefully can run into some people. I have a few questions, and am wondering if i should post them all in one thread OR post seperate threads?

Hello & welcome to IM!
If your questions pertain to 1 topic then post them together else in seperate threads.

That way you will get more responses to your queries.

Im not too fussed about where i go....north-east india sounds great. I was also thinking kerala because it looks like such an awesome place. I was watching ganges the series on BBC yesterday and himalayas to the north look awesome, although maybe unlikely that I could make it that far.

Depends on your budget..
3 weeks in north that is in himalayas and two weeks in south india would be awesome..

Hi,
I'm also from Melbourne (and currently enjoying the sun we are getting at long last!), and will be in Delhi all December and traveling across North/Central India in January. I am spending about 1.5wks in Rajasthan (3rd-15th), then a few days in Varanasi (16th-20th) and ending in Mumbai on the 23rd-26th. If any of these coincide with your dates I'd be happy to meet up at some point. I think I watched that programme on Kerala too, it looked so beautiful but sadly I won't have time to fit it in, which is why I'm sticking to up further north.
