Hello
Hi,
My name is Josef, also known as is-serp (which translates to 'the snake') because of my passion for snakes and other reptiles. I'm 23, and come from Malta (a tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea). I have been a Hatha Yoga practitioner for about a year. About 2 months ago I graduated in Information Technology with Computer Science as my main area of study and now I make a living as a Junior Executive in the IT department of a mobile communications company. Right now I am planning a solo trip to India, and I hope that one day I'll be able to go trekking through Asia. That's all I have to say about myself for now . I look forward to reading your tips/suggestions/comments/stories.Namaste, Josef |

I remember Malta as some fraud travel agents sank a ship full of around 300 Punjabi's few years back on Christmas Eve. They charged around 2 Lacs from all those who wanted to go abroad and midway, the ship was intentionally overloaded with more people than It could accomodate and hence It sank in the ice cold waters. This incident is known a Malta Boat Tragedy. http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/2001/0617/local5.html

Thanks for the warm welcome.
zzzehar: I am planning to go to India in about 4/5 months' time (maybe before, maybe after) depeneding on when I manage to save enough money for a 3 (or maybe 4) week trip. I have not planned any of my trip, but I'm sure that I want to visit Delhi, Agra, Varanasi, and Dharamsala. Hatha yoga is one of the different schools (or styles) of yoga. It was invented by Patanjali and involves using the body (by going into different postures or asanas) to change the internal state of mind and consciousness. As for the boat incident, unfortunately Malta is a stepping stone into Europe since it's the European contry that is closest to Africa. The authorities are trying to break the illegal immigration circles but because of our size (and hence the size of our army) we will be not be successful without help from Italy and especially North African countries such as Libya. dani: Nah venoumous snakes are not my piece of cake. I'm happy to admire the snake charmers from the side ![]() Josef |

Namaste India Tours:
I used to keep 3 snakes as pets. (Obviously captive bred specimen, never wild caught )manreet_16 & seventies'hippy: I won't be looking for snakes (or other reptiles) in India. Like I said venomous snakes are not my thing. I am too fond of life. |
