Hello people!
Hi, I went to India in 1999 and am returning there on June 17th. I'll be travelling to Leh, then Rishikesh, then Darjeeling. I'm on the look-out for interesting and sensible tips about getting around...

New Delhi - Leh by air.
Leh - Manali by road. Manali-Mandi-Shimla-Nahan-Herbertpur-Dehradun-Rishikesh by road. OR Manali - Kiratpur Sahib by road and Kiratpur Sahib - Haridwar by train&Haridwar - Rishikesh by road. Rishikesh - Haridwar by road. Haridwar - Varanasi by train. Varanasi - New Jalpaiguri by train. New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling by train/road.
