Hello From the Cold

Hello,
I probably should have introduced myself earlier. I stumbled on this forum a few weeks ago and have been checking it daily. This is the first time I have particapated in a online forum such as this. I am a bit of a luddite. I will try not to put my foot in my month (or the online equivalent). I am planning my second trip to India and this time my mother will be joining me for the first 3 weeks of my trip. I am very excited to give her the chance to experience India; it is something that she would not do alone.

My mother and I come from a cold sparsely populated place, New England. India, in climate, people, and most else, is about as different as you can get. Today it is about 10 degrees below zero and India seems far away. We will be leaving in about 8 weeks. I am very excited, even though I will be there in the hottest season.

I have been very impressed by the kindness and depth of this site. It truely is a community. Thank you.
Take care,

Welcome to IM Zoero,

Sounds like you will utilise the good info found on this site and maybe you will be able to post some of yourself and your Mother's experiences in India that many people would be interested in hearing?

Best wishes

Howie

So nice to hear how much you are enjoying the site....It is like a second home for many people here. Bundle up and keep reading and the 8 weeks will be over before you know it!

Hi from another IMīr suffering in the cold (THOUGH I would like to highlite that not for long )

I couldnīt agree you more Zero. This really is an amazing community and it certaily has an atmosphere of its own... I mean it lacks that many times so common aggressive style of approach that many other discussion sites have.

Love ya all India Mikers
