I think Captain and nayan sum it all up nicely for you, Qismat (and I have heard this name out here for both males and females which is often the case with names!)
As for safety, since you have been here before, I really think no problems. I travel around by myself, keep my wits (what are left of them!)about me, and certainly never encounter difficulties whereby I think my safety is at risk. A good thing is to know where you are going whenever you arrive in a new place - in other words either pre-book or have firmly in mind the hotel you are heading for. Stick to this, don't be swayed by any 'sweet talking' person to divert you (often a tout, but you should be aware of these having been here before) to somewhere else. As to your question, my answer is, no it is not really that bad!

oh, it's great fun - you'll have a ball!
don't worry about it, and no, there isn't really an exponential increase in touts, i'd say. and it differs person to person, since it's partly just an attitude that defines the time you have. as long as you and your brother are fun people and enjoy being together, you're going to be in an interesting place - what more could you ask for? ![]() |
