Haridwar,gangotri & badrinath

I plan to visit Haridwar,Gangotri & Badrinath in the months of oct. Can any body help me that is it right time and also the route.

its one of the best seasons..........please mention total days, budget, etc to have a route

I Have 10 to 15 day's.From jamshedpur I start my joueney with wife and 12year's son.Budget is 20 to 25 thousend.Route I decided from Delhi to Haridwar-rishikesh-gangotri-badrinath-haridwar than back.you please suggest importent place to see during visit and important item to carry in route.

I think budget is low to hire a car for entire trip

I am planning to Visit Haridwar-Rishikesh-Gangotri-Badrinath .I am planning to take a Bus from Delhi on friday evening.Need help with Travel Plan, also read we need some kind of permission to visit some places,I am solo traveller,i would prefer budget hotels and plan to reach delhi by friday evening.I would also like to keep one day for Rafting.And also pls help me with prayags which come enroute to this place.What kind of Clothing should i talk,i would like to stay in Ashrams to.

did mean Gaumukh and farther upper? Do you want to place it in your itinerary?

Yes,will it be possible and not tiring.Or should I do Haridwar-Rishikesh-Rudraprayag-Badrianath-VOF-Hemkund.
Pardon my geographical ignorance.It would be great if you suggest a place of solitude in between where most tourist do not visit.

VOF will be great experience........but need to know which month you are going to be vist?

better to forget upper region ........after all its Garhwal
