Hi guys and girls,

My name is Mervyn (atleast that's what everyone knows me as

) - my registered name is Devaraj (just thought I'd share it with everyone)

From that, you'd gather that I am an Indian. I am from South Africa and been living here since birth and so have my parents. It it my understanding that my grand mother and her sister were from India, sadly they've both passed on a long time ago so there's no information about their past that I can get :-(

Anyways, I was doing a bit of searching on the net for some India online forums and that's how I found this place. I want to visit India hopefully within the next few months for maybe 2 weeks and check out a few places, so for now, I am just trying to get info on the places, how quality of the locations are for staying, etc.

Read a few posts on this forum and it's makes some interesting reading
