From Poland to India!
Hello Everybody,
I have just found this site today thanks to a link from my Rough Guides book. My girlfriend and I will be travelling to Poland in January for two weeks, then heading to Mumbai on Jan 20th and departing from Delhi at the end of March. This gives us 70 days to explore and I can't wait! My parents are originally from Punjab, but I was born in Canada. I have been to India 4 times in my life, but only to visit family in Punjab so I'm really excited to see what the rest of the country has to offer. I know my time on this forum will be very limited, but if anybody has any suggestions for our trip I would be more than happy to hear them. There is so much info here I'm sure I will be able to find what I'm looking for... hopefully. Cheers and good travels to all. |

While in Poland be watchful at the railway stations. If you are doing night journey by train be extra careful & book a couchete. Visit Krakow & stay for a day or two. You can do some shoping in Warshaw, things are quite cheap. Try the sausages.

I could say a lot more about Poland than Jyotimor but it`s not the forum... if you want to get some real info about this country google it, there are plenty of forums. You`ll find something on Virtual Tourist. Take some cozy clothes! The temperature dropped to -3C in Warsaw now and we`ve got some snow. Have a nice stay!
As for India you won`t find a better travel forum, you`ve come to right place |

Poland is great!
I just wanted to reply quickly to say that I have actually been to Poland before. My girlfriend (who is Polish) and I spent a month there two years ago backpacking around the country.
People were warning us before we left about the same sorts of things at the train stations etc, but we never once encountered anything remotely perceived as threatening, or dangerous. It was a great trip. Because of that, I know to take with a grain of salt the multiple warnings about little dangers and annoyances that may take place in India. I have been there before as well, and I'm not too worried, I think we're going to have an amazing trip ![]() |
