Hello!

This is the first time in a forum but sadly to say not my first time going to india. I only say that because I still see that trip in sparkely golden light. I've found this forum because, unbeknown to my boss, I've been filtering through enless Indian travel websites and I feel like I've swallowed the whole of 'trains at a glance'. My sister, who i am going to India with next month, is going spare at all my plannings but one day I know she'll need my invaluable train information. However plans are only made to be broken so we'll meet in the middle I'm sure. The one thing for certain is that we will be buying bicycles and going to Bhuj, Gujerat. Beyond that who knows? So if anyone has any ideas, knows anything about Gujerat, I've only been to Dui and I'm not sure that really counts, please tell me.

It feel's great being here already!

PS I'm not really sure if this is a new thread or not, I'm not really sure if I've done this right so if this for some reason doesn't pop up in 'introduce yourself' please someone put me right!

How long is your trip to India for? Is it just to Gujerat?

Well that's the thing. We need to be in Cochin by Christmas day, our parents are coming out to meet us there, but apart from that we really have no plans. We thought that we may put our bikes on a train to Goa and then bicycle down the Karnatakan coast, we also would like to pop in to the Coorg region (HILLS! Aaaaaah!) but as ever so many ideas and never enough time so we are going to play it by ear and take it slowly and see where we get to.

Thank you Capt Mahajan for the link, I've had a quick look but I might save that for the grey dawn of a London monday morning and settle down to have a proper browse with a cuppa. I'll look forward to it!
