Everything .. but no plans.

So here I am in my northeastern brazil beachfront city ... waiting .
On the 23rd of June I shall arrive at 11pm in the Delhi airport.
First things first ... Itll be hot and rainy. Rain jacket check. Sun screen check.

Im going to do Northern India... from Ladakh to Bihar I hope.
How pleasant will travelling in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar be during June/July ? Hot is fine.. what Im asking is "will I have opportunities to see the sites in a clear sky?"

I am quite aware of the importance of booking tickets and all of that ... I have even read up on it... but what can I do if I just cant bother? Ive always travelled by instinct ... kind of going along with the flow .. knowing what I want and praying to make it there somehow. But for example ... I want to go to Leh first thing ... but thats all I need. . am I supposed to contact a travel agency for this trip? For a one way ticket? Then Ill take the bus to Manali .. do Dharamsala , Shimla , Armitsar, Rikikesh (sic) , Agra , Varanasi , Bodgaya, then Kathmandu and back to Delhi to come back home.

What should I expect ? What should I do ? How should I do it? Who should I contact ?

Kind regards

maybe Im too vague?
Ill try again :

Im willing to put up with the heat and the humidity .. but I would be dissapointed if I didnt get the chance to appreciate the cities I mentioned. Like walking around and having sunshine every once in a while for some pictures.
Varanasi in the monsoon .. how is it ?

You aren't sounding like someone who travels by instinct vs. one who does research.

On the otherhand neither am I. For instance if I was I'd be asking you if I could come house sit your beachfront home there in Brazil while you went off to India.

If you can't bother to book tickets or don't know exact dates when you'll need the tickets, I don't think you will have a problem getting around. Just be prepared to travel second class on trains or in cramped public buses. From what I've experienced, buses go everywhere in India.

thanks for the site .. its exactly what ive needed but could never find. june is obviously better for uttar pradesh. now i know for sure ill go to ladakh in july as opposed to it being my first stop. thanks.

as for my contradiction that dodi pointed out ... turns out I have to book a flight if I want to make it to ladakh. I guess we adapt .. everything changes. I most certainly have a good idea of what I want .. but booking train tickets .. it just cant be done .. how will i ever know the dates if I dont even know how long i want to stay in each location?
what better housesitter than the silence? but if you want .. we can arrange something.
