Everyone around me thinks I crazy...

About an hour ago I booked my first trip to India and everyone thinks I'm nuts ok there's an occasional "that's so cool."

Granted it's part of an organized tour- but I want to enjoy my time and having hotels and transportation between cities already planned allows that.

I'll be going for three weeks starting November 13th in Delhi.

I have to give my thanks to IM because I was wavering whether I wanted to go or not until I found this site. All the stories and general friendship everyone exhibits on this site is wonderful. I'm excited and proud to be a member.

I'll have tons more questions in the coming months but for now I'm still on a high that I can't think of any.

not they just think I'm nuts! Especially my mom, of course, she was culture shocked in London...

But once I bring back pictures and stories I'm sure they'll wish they went as well....

But there are people who will only take their holidays in places that get sterilised every day and are guaranteed to be free of any germ or speck of dirt ---then they break a leg!

Thing is, they could have their 5* holiday lounging in the gardens of a beautiful hotel here, if they wanted, but...

Anyone who voluntarily goes to India is jus' a lil crazy, but who cares - you'll love it!!!! Everyone on this forum is, guess that's why it's so much fun.

Suggestion - read "You may be missing Indian when........." - that'll give you a good insight, and also some of the members' journals. I think you'll only understand the humour of what people have said and seen when you're there and when you've returned home.

Btw, I've shown some of the threads to people who've never been to India and it's way over their heads, so don't be disheartened by what the folks at home say...........you'll have a blast.
