Dodital trek- Request for details

Hi Friends,

I am a new member.
I have done Rup inSupin,Tapovan,Nandanvan,Bara dsar lake treks.Still ameture.

I am planning to go to Dodital with family and friends.Kids of age group 10-13 years.

1.Is october end /nov 1sr week OK season.
2.I am also told that it is not all that beautiful place?!!
3.Can we make it in 4 days from Uttarkashi.

Hi Shiva,

1. I believe Oct end should be OK for Dodital trek. The place gets snowed in later in winter - Dec/Jan. You can call any travel agent in Uttarkashi and double check.
2. If you are going with kids and want them to enjoy the trek, it is better to do it over 5 days. That will also give you some time to spend at Dodital and explore the surroundings.
3. It is an ideal trek to go with family and children. Besides Dodital, the destination, one can also enjoy the trail.
