Dharamsala
Hi everybody
I have just joined this site so don't know my way around yet. I am planning a trip to Dharamsala from UK to Delhi where I would like to see a bit of the city and then go on to Agra and see the Taj Mahal. I'm doing in course In Dharamsala but a little nervous as my first time going to India and going alone. Haven't really got a clue what to expect. If anybody can help me with some suggestions, I would be very grateful. Planning on spending two months but one month on the course. thank you

Hi Anar
thanks for your quick response. Thought I would fly to Delhi around 18 Feb as my course starts in Dharamsala on 13 March for a month. I would like to see as much as I can ie the Taj Mahal and whatever else you might feel is worth seeing. I would love moe time there but not possible this time. Planned on heading to Dhar... earlier than the 13th to see whatever that area too. Thanks a lot for your help
There isn't much to "see" in Dharamsala, esp as you will be there for a month. That gives you enough time to explore D'sala, esp Mcleodganj - Upper D'sala, where all the activities are.
In Feb, you can travel between Delhi, Agra and Jaipur - the classic Golden triangle of India, then go to Amritsar for the Golden temple, and travel to D'sala from there.

hi, you'll love Dharamsala and Around.Dharamsala is kinda place if it clicks someone once, people are in Love with it..Social activities, day to day activities, jam night, concerts, some or the other keeps coming each everyday. So your one Month gonna be really Worth Staying...which course are you gonna join there ? Tushita, Vipassana , OSho...etc ....
thank you all for answering me
The course I am intending on doing is a yoga Teacher Training one month so I will be studying about 12 hours a day. That's why I want to go to there 3 or 4 weeks before my course so that I can take advantage of that time as see as much as I can possibly fit in.
Traveling in Train is safer with people but safety concern are to be taken..
Delhi and around have sounded bit un-safer for Lone-female travelers but Dharamsala has always been safe.
