Hope they want a tutor, at any rate

Hello,

Do you mean ex-pats? Looks to me like they're all upper middle class and they work for intl. corps. I'd love to be wrong.

I'm a writer and I tutor uni kids part time.

Twas' walking along the Ganges one day when I was confronted by an elder and disheveled gentleman whom at first I thought was going to ask me for money instead asked me "How do you spell penury?"
I replied " Ah um.. p-e-n-u-r-y ah er I think that's how it goes."
Unsatiated he continued on his way.

I spell narcissism, making the thread all about me.

this gets the prize for the most misleading thread title.

@skids
Indeed the gentleman was asking you to contribute toward the relief of his penury.

What? I don't understand. I don't fit into their profile; that makes me guilty of excessive self-love? Thanks for the reminder of how people see each other nowadays.

Well now, guess I'll stay put in a boring place until I won't be walking along discussing my homelessness with others. (Literal interpretations are necessary just now.

Sorry for misunderstanding you in my earlier post today.

My inner poverty is also hard to cope with. Takes a lot of work, discipline, visits to the library, refusal to be romantic/unrealistic/excessive. Good luck to you, too; keep in touch. Thanks for your help.
