Best place to stay in goa??

Hi I have never been India before and thinking of going to goa next week for 8 nights has anyone got any tips on best place to stay north south and rough prices !?? I have been td beach huts are really cheap what is really good to see out there any recommendations???

Palolem

Calangute

Anjuna

Apora

Ponda

Mapusa

Goa has a lot of churches , Panjim Church is famous

Mapusa has some cheap stay hotels

Go south! Agonda, Palolem. Anjuna is OK...(but north) Most of the north is plastic fantastic.
It might be the best of times or the worst of times...but it's the only time you've got!

I like quite beaches near Gokarna (South of Goa). lot quiter and cheaper too.

Suggest look for an AC accommodation, it is going to be HOT and HUMID.
Bike rides - Kashmir to Leh and Sikkim, Jungle safaris - Corbett,Chikhaldara, Kanha and Gorumara. Traveled through MP, Himachal, J&K, Maharashtra, W.Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Goa, Karnataka, AP . . . Yet feel so New to traveling in India.

Dear, Cola is the most quiet beach. Not spoilt yet by tourism/consumerism.

If you like night life North Goa is a better choice. You have night clubs. North Goa is more happening place. You can stay at Adamo the bellus, Calangute or 19 Bela Cabana. Holiday street, Coandolim.
