About to do 2nd trip

Hello all,

I'm so glad to have found this forum. I'm a 31 year old female about to go back to India for the second time. My first stint was from Dec 07-April08, doing volunteer work and traveling. This second one I'm leaving in July for an "I dunno" amount of time..at least thats the answer I give family. I went the first time to celebrate my one year anniversay of having had (and survived) brain surgery, and recovered everything mental I seem to have lost, even though India definitley caused me to lose many a marble on many an occasion! So back I head, because though my body may now be mostly healed, my spirit still needs some work, and there was no better place for me to figure out how to stand on my own feet again that throwing myself into such a different culture and world.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, but right now, I'm still just trying to breathe.

Thanks Peak! I sure didn't go expecting enlightenement..but coming back everyone said " that's the best thing you've ever done for yourself.." so back I go. I feel healthier and happier than I have in years, so we'll see what i can add this next time 'round!

Thanks Brownboy

I already did 4 months of "What the HELL?" and dysentary and worms and dodgy hotels and sleeper trains amidst all the amazingness..I'll probably post more once I actually GET back since I have no itinerary other than July in Manali. I've got at least 5 months to kill after that, so we'll see where that takes me
