Where will I clear customs? Bangkok -Kolkata-Mumbai flight

1) Clearing customsAll flights are on JetAirways. Departing from Bangkok to Kolkata and then transferring to a different JetAirways flight to Mumbai. Rather than clearing customs in Kolkata, if clearing customs won't take place until Mumbai airport where I arrive on a Monday at about 16:15, then any estimate of how long to claim baggage and clear customs in Mumbai? (I'm hoping customs clearance will be in Kolkata but JetAirways has not responded to my query.)

I have someone who will be meeting me in Mumbai at the airport.

2) Internaional flight JetAirways check in What is the minimum time I should allow for check-in on a late morning flight out of Kolkata on a Saturday at end of January?

3) Domestic flight check in on JetAirways leaving Mumbai late in the afternoon on weekday. What is the minimum amount of time I should allow for check-in? (I only have one day in Mumbai and don't want to get to the airport a lot earlier than is necessary.)

Thanks for the help, so I can optimize travel time and not spend unneeded time at airports.

The easiest way of asking Jet is 'can I book my baggage through to Mumbai?". If they say yes, that means you clear immigration and customs at Mumbai. If no, Kolkata.

Regardless, if your connecting flight (Kok/Mum) is domestic (check with the flight number if Jet is not responsive) you will have to clear customs and immigration at the first airport, ie Kolkata.

Domestic flights these days, I would reach the airport an hour before the flight.

International flights, 2 hours or a little more, though am unfamiliar with Kolkata international, so maybe somebody can correct me.

PS: Normally, I would assume about an hour for clearing immigration and customs at airports in India. Can be ten/fifteen minutes more or less.

Capt .. thanks this is helpful. I finally found a USA phone number for JetAirways (877-835-9538) and was able to find out that I will clear customs in Kolkata.
