what size is the plane

Guys, were flying to Delhi via Doha on Qatar airways. We take off from Manchester on the morning of Friday the 20th Febuary.
Can anyone help us by telling us what size of plane we will be on thanks in advance, Steve

I would really and very seriously and most earnestly suggest you give the airline a call about it.

It's an Airbus 340, isn't it? I flew with them once and I think that's what it was.
There's an area of their website with the fleet on it I think.

Why do you need to know?!

As you're travelling on a Friday, and as it's not a leap year, Quatar will probably be using something slightly larger than a tiger moth.

You may not have noticed, but unlike Mach, I had no intention of responding to that in either a serious or earnest fashion!

There is a website will all this information on for the different airlines, right down to detail about which seats are best to reserve. It's called seat master or seat guru or something similar. If you're interested enough it would be easy for you to find it with Google.

Umm. If you do a search for your flight on the Qatar air website, it tells you what aircraft it is. Both legs* are in an Airbus 330.

Which looks like this: http://www.fti737.com/images/A330.jpg

The exact seating plan may differ between airlines though. Did you check the Qatar website for a seating plan?
I'm such a geek.

*pun intended

The size of the planes used by different airlines on different routes is part of the information listed on the website I told you about.

Just to prove I'm not really the jerk I'd like to be, I think that site Haylo mentions is here, see what you make of it: http://www.seatguru.com/ .

A simple phone call would still be my preferred style, but, to each their own.

This thread is a total plane wreck.

OK. The information you need is all on the Qatar Air website. The exact plane is shown when you search for your flight, and seat plans come up when you go to "About us" "Our fleet".

This thread has nothing to do with travel in India, and I'm going to close it because it's daft and I'm mean.
