i found cheap tickets to mumbai via uzbek in uzbekk airlines ...its around 630 euros ..
ANY IDEA HOW GOOD IS UZBEKISTAN airways ...

and with aeroflot 660 euros to mumbai...(based on the peoples talks in forums here ..it seems aeroflot may be poor)

sorry that I have no info for you, but I just can't stop thinking that the name of that airline sounds like it should be in a Saturday Night Live comedy routine....

I thought that I'd heard that, since the demise of one big USSR, these smaller regional national airlines were pretty dreadful. But that was some time ago: someone may be along to tell us that Uzbekistan Airlines is one of the most modern and safe in the world.

Someone?

Hello?

All I've heard is that they're the most reliable of the Central Asian airlines.

Air Tajikistan is the one with the worst reputation.

Can't tell you any more than that.

Flown Aeoflot, Delhi,Heathrow ,with no complaints .I was quite looking forward to complaining about the food ,hard boiled egg with a bit of rye bread wrapped around it ,followed by cabbage soup but no !!!! Good food ,good planes ,good price .
We were warned of Uzbekistan airways although the fare was cheaper, we were told bad service and dirty but this is second hand and the agency might have been on commission .
Hope this helps

flew with them 6 years ago,no problems, incredibly ugly stewardesses, views over the mountains wonderful.aeroflot too long at moscow but compensated for by smashing guiness and visiting the refugee cardboard village there.

hi lovingeye82,
sorry for my late replay, I'm flying from Italy to Delhi at the beginning of November and, besides BA, found some interesting price by KLM via Amsterdam (700 all inclusive). Flying with Aeroflot shouldn't be so bad but I think you must stop over in Moscow for at least 13 hours. I would avoid uzbekk airlines...
good luck for your search.
bye max
