Thank you Air Asia!
Hey folks!
For those of you how are not already aware, Air Asia has opened up more flight paths to India from KL. Flying from say, Kolkatta to KL costs $75. Including taxes. WTF. Truly inspiring stuff. Of course flights from Melbourne to KL are also ludicrously cheap. FYI: http://www.airasia.com/site/au/page....rence=routemap Love it. ![]() |

Annoying thing is that it seems if travelling from Oz, you have to book the legs via LK seperately.

beanie, thank you for this information - it was very helpful for me. Really cheap, and, best of all, there're several destinations in various airports across India (I've found my direct ticket to Trichi and never knew before it has an airport at all). I have to mention, however, that being a low-cost carrier Air Asia adds extra charges for everything - luggage, food, insurance, seat choice... but these charges are also quite inexpensive.

Indeed - I also hear that the seats don't actually recline. Apparently the seat part can be tilted upwards - which would only squish you into a smaller and stranger area. I do hope this rumour to be false!
