Six hour layover in Amsterdam
Six hour layover in Amsterdam
I have a 6 hour layover at the Amstredam Schipol Airport. Would there be enough time to drop into the city for a couple of hours? What can I do in the city if I have a couple of hours to spend (other than the red light district ofcourse
) have never been to Amstredam before.

Flight plan & Visa
Technically yes. If you gave us details of the flights one could make a better estimate. I have reached my hotel in the city in less than an hour from landing. If you have to go through passport control it could take some time. I presume you'll have the boarding pass before hand.... so, barring visa issues, you could spend about two hours in the city. (one-half hours to get to city after landing, and arriving about 2-1/2 hours before departue into the airport)
However, evaluate your timings/logistics carefully.
