Question about Customs in India
Hi,
I will be travelling to US this week and returning in about a month. I will be carrying a laptop provided by my company. I plan to buy a new laptop for my personal use from USA. Can i bring it to India without paying any Customs duty? |

Yes, you can bring it. Take a letter of declaration from your company that you are taking this Used lap top for business purpose and you can bring in your new lap top also. You can declare it to customs and still walk out of the green channel. but dont hide the fact that u have got a new lap top as the baggage scanner will reveal even if you dont disclose.

Do you mean you will be bringing two laptops?
One is allowed. One you don;t have to declare, whether it is new or old. |
