Mumbai to Hong-Kong?

Hello everybody,

I have been looking on the internet and have only found regular-priced airfares from Mumbai to Hong-Kong. I'd love to visit a friend who is staying over there but only if I can find a decently-priced no-frills airline that is serving this destination...

Do you have any hints/advice on this?

Pal, if you had not seem my earlier reply, here it is.

Try this.

Fly Bombay-Kolkata on Air Deccan / SpiceJet (www.airdeccan.net)
Fly Kolkata-Singapore-Hongkong on JetStarAsia (www.jetstarasia.com)

Above should not cost you more than Rs.15K one way. However ensure you give yourself sufficient time for transfer at CCU. Air Deccan is notorious for delays.

You can also try flying Kolkata-Dhaka-Hong Kong on Biman Bangladesh airlines. They have cheaper fares. Good luck!

i had read your replies last night - don't have a clue why they disappeared. I appreciate your double effort, though

Sounds like it's quite a trip to HK and since it would only be for a minor amount of days, I might be better off post-poning this until I am in a more favorable departure position... I am pursuing your tip concerning makemytrip.com though.. thanks for that!
