Kingfisher international?
Kingfisher are certainly building up a reputation in India as a quality airline. Lots of good reviews on skytrax too. They've now started flying some international routes including London Heathrow - Bangalore. Has anyone used this route or any other international routes with Kingfisher? How new are their aircraft, quality of service, seat etc.? I think they are more expensive than the european airlines but everytime I fly with airfrance or Lufthansa there's always something that seems to go wrong and is unsatisfactory. Despite the bedlam of Heathrow a direct flight to Bangalore without the terrible departure time from BLR of British Airways could be a godsend.

Kingfisher are probably the best in terms of service (yes, better than Jet). A lot of people in India fly Kingfisher because of the snob value associated with it, one because it's the most expensive and also because, apparently the flight attendants are very pretty.
The word is that Vijay Mallya interviews and hand picks each one of them, although I am less inclined to believe it. |

I flew LHR-HYD in January.with Kingfisher.
Very helpful staff at Terminal 4 LHR and check in was a breeze. On board, again staff pleasant and attentive and service with a smile.Excellent meals with stainless steel cutlery! Only problem for me was that it is ten and half hours flight to Banglore, and I prefer to take a break after 6-7 hours flight. |
