Last year they had a return fareMAA-JFK Rs 17000/- excluding taxes.Even after taxes it was the lowest available, I compared with another travel site giving options. There is no differencein their economy clas.In my view Jet Airways service is good.

Typically MAA-JFK-MAA will be differently priced than JFK-MAA-JFK by the same airline go figure From New York to South America, discounted but upgradable fares are typically 1/3 to 1/2 of South America to New York by the same airline.

I have not flown 9W internationally, but have flown them domestically. I find, Kingfisher slightly cheaper on BOM-DEL with excellent service, and I can use their lounge facilities if I am on the same PNR coming off an international or, beginning an international segment. YMMV

So from what I'm hearing, Jetairways is a decent airline with decent prices. However, I was rather annoyed the other day when I saw a great price, went through the process of booking it, and when I got to the end discovered that they do not take debit cards--only major credit cards. I have used my debit cards countless number of times to purchase tickets from U.S. airlines, so I don't understand what Jetairways' issue is!

It is not an American entity. It has to do with a lot of regulatory issues, some of which are arcane. Debit cards are good when used within the country of issue. Sometimes the Financial institution which issues the debit card charges you an extra % for foreign-currency transaction.
