the closest convenient airport will be bombay/mumbai
domestic flight to goa is about one hour. http://india.makemytrip.com/ is one site for domestic flight details. dont think you have direct flights from the us to dabolim airport in goa, but you could check. |

There are no direct flights from the United States to Goa.You will need to fly to Mumbai, Delhi or Chennai (Madras) and connect on one of the local airlines. The best option is to fly to Mumbai and get a connecting flight to Dabolim Airport in Goa. Air India was offering round-trip fares from Kennedy Airport in New York to Mumbai for $1,041, including taxes and fees, for this month. Several discount Indian airlines operate between Mumbai and Goa, including Air Deccan (www.airdeccan.net), Spicejet (www.spicejet.com) and Jet Airways (www.jetairways.com).
You can also get valuable info from : Embassy of India, 2536 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington DC, (tel: 202 939 9839) India Tourist Office, 3550 Wiltshire Bd, Suite #204, Los Angeles, CA 90010 (tel: 213 380 8855) and Suite 1808, 1280 Ave of Americas, New York, (tel: 212 751 6840) |
